Community Learning Centre: Nurturing Minds, Celebrating Culture

At Sai’s Angel Foundation, we believe in the holistic development of every child. Our Community Learning Centre (CLC) is a testament to this belief, providing a nurturing environment where education meets creativity and cultural celebration.

Daily Activities at the CLC

Each day at the CLC begins with a moment of reflection and prayer, setting a positive tone for the day ahead. Students then engage in interactive sessions where they share stories or new learnings, fostering a community of sharing and growth. Following this, our dedicated teachers review homework and dive into teaching core subjects like Mathematics, Science, English, and Social Science. The learning is rigorous yet engaging, ensuring each child grasps the essentials and more.

A Day of Play and Learning

Saturdays at the CLC are uniquely designed to balance education with fun. While mornings are dedicated to academic studies, the afternoons are filled with various activities. Students enjoy games, drawing, arts and crafts, and working with clay. These activities are not only enjoyable but also crucial in developing fine motor skills and encouraging creative expression.

Celebrating Our Heritage and Values

The CLC is vibrant with cultural and national celebrations that educate and inspire our students. Significant days such as Ambedkar Jayanti, Earth Day, Ashadi Bija, Yoga Day, Guru Purnima, and Independence Day are commemorated with enthusiasm. Each celebration is an opportunity for students to learn through participation, be it through painting, drama, singing, or yoga. These events foster a deep sense of community and pride in our heritage.

Independence Day Highlights

A standout event in our calendar, Independence Day, is celebrated across all four centers of the CLC. The day is filled with vibrant performances, including singing, dancing, and dramatic enactments, bringing the spirit of freedom alive. Participation in these festivities not only enhances the liveliness of the program but also instills a sense of national pride and joy in our students.

Expanding Horizons for Older Students

This year, we proudly expanded our CLC to include students of class 10. Focused on core subjects—Mathematics, English, Science, and Social Science—this initiative aims to prepare students for their board exams effectively. Subject-specific teachers are assigned to ensure high-quality instruction and personalized attention for two hours daily.

Progress and Adaptation

Initially launched in Bidada village of Mandvi taluka, the class 10 program had to be relocated to Talwana village due to an insufficient number of students. This adaptive move has allowed us to refine our approach and better meet the needs of our students, as detailed in our monthly progress reports.
