Community Learning Centre (CLC)

Sai’s Angel Foundation (SAF) strongly believes that Community Learning Centre (CLC) can play the role of the catalyst in the holistic development of the children that SAF works with. The Community Learning Centre is organized outside the formal education system, aimed at developing self-discipline, positive attitude and good behavior in children and at the same time providing them and the community at large, opportunities to acquire various capabilities and life skills to improve their quality of life.

 

Whizkid 100

In the course of intervention through the SmartCamp Program and also through a well-defined open selection process, the Foundation identifies brilliant and hardworking students from low income and less-privileged families, who the Foundation believes, can achieve their ambition in life if supported, guided and mentored properly. Based on the experience, the Foundation strongly believes that these students do need special coaching and also close guidance and mentoring in all subjects on a daily basis to bring out their full potential and succeed in the competitive environment, in view of the adverse economic and social environment prevailing in their respective households.

Nature Camp with Whizkid 100

A nature camp was held with mihir sir. In which children of 9th to 12th joined. Today we explored different types of leaf’s and patterns in nature. Apart from exploration the important part was ‘Curiosity Map’. Practice asking deeper questions about what you are exploring. Skill of asking right kind of questions can be helpful in other situations in life also.

3 days workshops by leading life

From May 2nd to May 5th, 2024, career sessions were held for 9th and 10th grade students at Yuvalay, Vasna. These sessions were facilitated by Kirit and Hardik from Leading Life, who conducted comprehensive workshops over three days. The workshops covered various themes through stories, games, and creative activities. The key topics included building self-confidence, self-awareness, and self-control; time management; self-discovery; attention and focus; teamwork; mindful execution of tasks; understanding right from wrong; and non-verbal communication.

Career Café for 10th, 11th 12th Graders

On May 2nd, 2024, a Career Café was organized for 10th, 11th and 12th grade students at Yuvalay, Vasna. The session aimed to provide students with insights into various life skills through card activities. The focus was on enhancing problem-solving abilities, teamwork, communication skills, self-confidence, attention, and focus.

 

STEM

Sai’s Angel Foundation is dedicated to advancing STEM education in rural schools through a hands-on curriculum designed to promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The program includes modules on simple circuits, motor construction, electricity, light, and magnetism experiments, as well as an introduction to robotics with practical assembly and application tasks like a robotics soccer game.

Report of Training of Trainers: STEM program

Objectives of the Training:
The primary objective of the training was to prepare trainers on the STEM modules covered in the program and to ensure they could confidently perform and teach the experiments.

Training Overview:
Mr. Dhruv Saidava conducted an interactive and hands-on training session for the trainers. He began by demonstrating each experiment himself, providing clear instructions and explanations. Afterward, the trainers were given the opportunity to perform the experiments themselves, reinforcing their understanding and ability to teach these concepts to students.

STEM Modules Covered:
The training encompassed six modules, each focusing on a different aspect of STEM

Outcome:
The training was successful in equipping the trainers with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively deliver STEM education. The hands-on approach and the emphasis on practical application ensured that the trainers felt confident in conducting the experiments and teaching the associated concepts. Positive feedback was received from all participants, who appreciated the interactive nature of the training session. Although training was good, trainers will need handholding for execution of program.
