Workshops of teachers were conducted in two phases. The first phase was conducted on 05.01.2018 where 47 teachers participated and the second phase was conducted on 09.02.2018 for 51 teachers. Both the workshops were organised in Karachiya Primary School, Karachiya.
The workshop included training on use of different TLMs, play way method and each-one- teach-one method. For example, for Maths use of game-based TLMs and for Gujarati use of Ful Pandadi was demonstrated.
The basic test papers for Maths and Gujarati were provided for assessing and tracking the performance of students in reading, writing and solving arithmetic problems.
The first baseline test of students in Gujarati and Maths was taken at the beginning of the Project, followed by monthly tests at the end of each of the three month of the Project.
The programme was acknowledged to be a success with the recognition that the SAF methods of teaching and use of SAF Teaching Learning Materials are highly effective in meeting the goals of reading, writing and solving arithmetic problems.
