STEM Program Summary (2024–25)

During 2024–25, a comprehensive STEM education program was implemented across 16 schools, reaching over 1400 students. The program focused on key concepts from chemistry, biology, mathematics, and physics. Each week, two schools were covered, ensuring consistent and widespread outreach. A total of 13 modules were delivered using a hands-on learning approach. 

This included concept explanation, model-making activities, revision through worksheets, and connecting lessons to the school curriculum to deepen understanding. To evaluate the effectiveness of the program, pre- and post-assessments were conducted, allowing for a clear measurement of learning gains and overall impact.

Digital Literacy 2024-25

In parallel, the Digital Literacy program was implemented in 10 schools. Students were introduced to the basics of computers and trained on modern digital topics such as internet research, AI in daily life, online collaboration tools, and MS Office applications. A specially designed practice workbook was also provided to reinforce learning through exercises and self-study. The program covered more than 1000 students.

These programs not only enhanced subject understanding but also helped students build curiosity, critical thinking, and confidence in using technology and science in real-life contexts.

Career Guidance Sessions in 10 High Schools

To help students make informed career choices, career guidance sessions were conducted across 10 high schools covering 900 students. These sessions provided students with in-depth insights into various career paths, educational opportunities, and government schemes available for financial assistance.

Topics Covered:

  • Basic Orientation on Careers – Understanding career options based on interests, skills, and academic strengths.
  • Careers in Science & Engineering – Fields like medical, research, IT, artificial intelligence, space technology, and core engineering branches.
  • Careers in Commerce – Exploring career opportunities in finance, business management, chartered accountancy, banking, and entrepreneurship.
  • Careers in Arts & Humanities – Opportunities in law, media, design, psychology, social sciences, and civil services.
  • Time management : techniques of managing time, importance of time management and making study time table

Additional Information Provided:

Top Colleges Across Gujarat – Guidance on institutes offering various professional courses.
Competitive Exams & Scholarships – Information on entrance exams like JEE, NEET, CLAT, CA Foundation, UPSC, GPSC, and various government-funded schemes for financial aid.

These interactive sessions empowered students to explore diverse career paths, understand future opportunities, and plan their academic journey effectively.

Camp to Career

Further, with a specific group of 30 girls, a camp to career was organized for 3 days. In the workshop lot of activities, games, stories were used to help students understand their interests, strengths and skills. A last day was on 6 idiot session, where students understood their personality traits and what kind of careers are open for them. This was highly successful though numbers are less but impact will be greater.

English classes :

This year, in 6 to 8 standard total 11 sessions were conducted for English. The classes were conducted online but very good response received in it.

SHOWCASE

On March 25, 2025, Sai’s Angel Foundation, in partnership with Tata Power Mundra Kutch, organized a STEM and Digital Literacy Showcase at Shri Nana Bhadiya Primary School.

We were honored to have Mr. Vijayant Ranjan, CEO of Tata Power Mundra, along with CSR Head Mr. Atul Karwatkar and the CSR team. From Sai’s Angel Foundation, Program Manager Ms. Rameshwari Gajjar and her team were also present to support and encourage the participants.

The showcase featured 40 innovative models focused on STEM and Digital Literacy. Students demonstrated their understanding of science and technology through practical projects covering concepts from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology.

Several Arduino-based IoT projects were presented, along with Digital Literacy models showcasing applications of AI, Microsoft Office tools, and more.

It was inspiring to see students applying their knowledge to create meaningful, hands-on projects. This event truly highlighted the power of experiential learning.

 

Book Launching

On February 20th, Sai’s Angel Foundation successfully launched five books focused on Digital Literacy, STEM, and Career Guidance under the CSR partnership of Tata Power Mundra and Club Energy. The launch event featured an online inauguration program with schools, marking a significant step towards empowering students through hands-on learning experiences.

The event was graced by SAF’s Program Manager, Ms. Rameshwari Gajjar, Mr. Rohit Pataliya, and the SAF team, along with the CEO of Tata Power Mundra, Mr. Vijayant Ranjan, CSR Head Mr. Atul Karwatkar, and their team.

The books launched include:

  • 15 modules of STEM
  • 18 modules of Digital Literacy
  • 5 modules of Career Guidance

These books are designed to offer students an engaging, practical, and experiential learning journey, equipping them with essential skills for the future

 

Community Learning Centres

Academic Enrichment

The Community Learning Centres (CLCs) have been instrumental in providing daily academic support and creative learning to rural children outside school hours. Focused teaching was provided for core subjects such as English, Gujarati, Hindi, Mathematics, Science, Social Science, and Sanskrit.

  • English sessions covered a broad range of foundational and advanced topics including grammar, spelling, sentence writing, tenses, paragraph and essay writing, and unit-based textbook revision. Spoken English was integrated into daily learning, with interactive activities and Teaching-Learning Materials (TLMs) to support visual and kinesthetic learning styles.
  • Gujarati & Hindi included reading, dictation, story writing from pictures, poem recitation, grammar, and textbook-based lessons. Students practiced dictation and transcription to improve language retention and comprehension.
  • Mathematics sessions reinforced numeracy skills like basic operations, fractions, percentages, roots, equations, and lesson-based problem-solving for classes 6–8. Activities like map drawing and game-based learning made math engaging and practical.
  • Science & Social Science were taught using inquiry-based learning. Topics included air properties, human anatomy, adolescence, food classification, the solar system, and natural resources. Students understood scientific processes through experiments and real-life examples.
  • Sanskrit lessons for Std. 6 covered textbook chapters with focus on pronunciation and comprehension.
  • Other Learning Areas: Basic computer literacy was imparted through structured sessions. Students also engaged in Navodaya preparation and cognitive skill enhancement through brain games.

Creative & Life Skills Development

Alongside academics, every Saturday was reserved for creative learning and life skill development, which included:

  • Art & Craft Activities: Paper folding, rakhi and envelope making, Ganesh frame decoration, lanterns, torans, and utility box crafting. Activities developed fine motor skills, creativity, and group coordination.
  • Best from Waste: Children created decorative and functional items using discarded materials like bottles, papers, and sticks—encouraging environmental responsibility and innovation.
  • Seasonal & Cultural Events: Festivals like Uttarayan (Kite Festival) were celebrated joyfully. Children made and flew their own kites, learning collaboration and project planning through hands-on activity.
  • Thematic Activities: Poster-making on “Say No to Plastic,” thread crafts in shapes like moons and torans, and music-related storytelling using local instruments made learning joyful and relatable.

Games & Group Activities: Balloon breathing activity to understand lungs, sentence-passing games for communication, and outdoor ball games enhanced teamwork, concentration, and leadership skills.

Parental Engagement

Regular Parent Meetings were conducted to keep families informed and involved in their child’s progress. Parents responded positively, encouraging children to complete daily homework and participate in centre activities.

MONTHLY REPORT

Tragadi Community Learning Centre – Annual Update

The Tragadi Community Learning Centre, supported by HMEL, was started this year with great enthusiasm. Regular coaching classes were conducted for students of Standards 6 to 8, as well as board exam students. A total of 41 students benefited from the centre.

In addition to academics, the centre actively promoted creative and social learning. Activities included:

  • Art and craft workshops
  • Yoga Day celebrations
  • Environmental education sessions
  • Essay competitions
  • Celebration of important national days like Independence Day and Gandhi Jayanti
  • Sports and physical activities

Daily Digital Literacy classes were also conducted at the centre, helping students build essential computer and internet skills.

Overall, the centre has significantly contributed to the academic growth and holistic development of students, nurturing both their minds and creativity.
