About the Project:
The Help Desk for Government Schemes supports residents of urban slums in Vadodara by connecting them with essential welfare programs. It offers guidance and raises awareness about health, education, and employment schemes to enhance their quality of life and future opportunities.
Household Survey: We’ve been conducting household surveys in slum areas, assisting residents with crucial data collection and identifying those in need. Our field staff found that many peoples struggled with completing the E-KYC process for their documents, often facing difficulties despite visiting government offices. To address this, we took proactive steps to guide community members through the online E-KYC process, filling up various forms ensuring they can access benefits from various government schemes. This initiative has helped empower residents, making sure they receive the support they deserve.
Awareness Program on Government Schemes:
We are raising awareness about key government initiatives, such as Ayushman cards, ration cards, and income certificates, in Vadodara’s slum areas. Through door-to-door campaigns and public meetings, we assist residents in accessing healthcare and financial support. Our goal is to empower underserved communities by ensuring they benefit from these programs and improve their overall quality of life.
Empowering Communities:
We have partnered with community leaders, ASHA workers, and urban healthcare centers to simplify the Ayushman Bharat application process. This collaboration ensures easier access to healthcare benefits, helping individuals secure financial protection for medical treatments. By assisting with registration and documentation, we make healthcare more accessible and affordable. Our commitment is to empower underserved communities to effectively utilize the scheme, enhance healthcare access, and contribute to a healthier future for all.
