Semester I of the Vadiksha SmartCamp Project (Second Year) at this school started in July 2017. The subjects covered are Gujarati, English and Mathematics.
SAF worked with a leading Corporate House and arranged for computers for the school under its CSR initiatives. Computers received were loaded with educational contents and SAF facilitated the school to use these computers for regular course curriculum as well as the SmartCamp program.
Following activities were carried out:
- Notebooks were distributed to all the students.
- Writing Kits were distributed to the students of class VI, VII and VIII.
- Educational trip to the Regional Community Science Centre, Subhanpura was organised. Students enjoyed various models and demonstrations at the science centre.
- Awareness excursion trip to the Akshay Patra Foundation, Gotri was organised. Students had a good understanding of the hygienic conditions under which their mid-day meals are prepared.
- An essay competition on the trips was organised.
- A student managed library was started with books and games received by donations and from Corporate Houses.
- Use of computer for content delivery.
- Identification and selection of students for the Vadiksha Scholar project.
