About the Project
The Help Desk for Government Schemes supports residents of urban slums in Vadodara by connecting them with essential welfare programs. It offers guidance and raises awareness about health, education, and employment schemes to enhance their quality of life and future opportunities
Household Survey:
Last year, we conducted a household survey to identify families in need of government support. This year, we are using that data to reach out to them, provide guidance, and help them access the benefits and schemes they are eligible for.
We personally meet them, provide information about the schemes, and help them fill out the required government forms. Many individuals lack knowledge about government offices — such as where to apply, which forms to fill, and what documents are needed. Our team supports them throughout the entire process, from documentation to application, and helps raise awareness about available government benefits.
Awareness Program on Government Schemes:
In the Mujmahuda and Khikoli Circle rural areas, we conducted a survey to identify people with limited knowledge about government schemes. Based on the findings, we organized awareness camps covering key welfare programs such as the Ayushman Card, Ganga Swaroop Pension Yojana, Shree Vajpayee Bankable Yojana, and others.
During these camps, we guided participants on required documents, form-filling, where to apply, and how to use the Ayushman Card, including information on eligible hospitals. Our goal is to spread awareness and help people access the benefits they are entitled to.
